Open Government: Technologies in Digital Participation Era

Currently, large amounts of data are published on the web in several formats (pdf, xls, csv, jpg). But, despite the large amount of information available, such information is interpreted mostly by humans. Thus, the Linked Data allows that data published in different sources can be processed by machine, providing a richer understanding of the context of a particular data set being used. In addition, the publication of Linked Data with open characteristics enables automatic processing of large amount of data and the inferences execution about them, considering that the open data has by nature, attributes that encourage its use and reuse for several purposes. This chapter aims to present a guide of minicourse that encourages and makes possible the publication of linked open data
